Recce to Nepal; November 2012

Click here to read about the trip.

Welcome to Nepal
We stop at a random point in the road and clamber down the hillside
About 60 women and children are gathered under an awning
They've been waiting for hours for the English 'VIPs'
We are greeted with garlands and 'namastes'
There are lots of speeches that we don't understand but we can pick out the words 'Guy Joseph'
We cry. Many of the Nepali women cry too. They tell us 'our children are your children'
An old lady who has no sons has given her land for the school
Vicky thanks her in the traditional manner
We go to see the land where we will build the school
The local people will level it before we arrive next March
A very emotional experience
